Sometimes, even a simple and small gesture holds the deepest meaning. For a husband, u/Infamous-Ground9095 on Reddit, that gesture comes in the form of doodles that his wife, who has been with him for 20 years, lovingly includes in his lunchboxes every single day. What started as a simple way to add fun to his midday break has now become a long tradition, filled with tons of unique and creative illustrations that the husband uploaded on Reddit. Seeing how much joy it brought to people, the couple decided to share a second batch of doodles as a periodic update, hoping to spread even more smiles.

"The first time we shared a small peek into her art and mind, we were both amazed by how her initiative to add some fun to my lunches seemed to resonate with so many," the husband wrote in his second post. Both of his posts showcase a set of intricate, humorous, and charming doodles, each carrying its own playful message. One doodle features a grinning otter holding a sandwich with the words, "You OTTER eat your lunch NOW!!" Another shows a giant Godzilla chomping down on a cityscape, with the caption, "Even GODZILLA makes time for LUNCH!!!"

A spooky Halloween-themed drawing depicts a mischievous witch flying on a broomstick with a bat-like cat, reminding him to "Have a WICKED lunch!! And a Happy Halloween!" There’s also a sketch of a raccoon excitedly reaching for garbage bags, exclaiming, "WHOOEEE! My FAVORITE lunch!" In another, a wide-eyed frog is about to catch a fly, playfully asking, "Dude! Can I BUY you lunch?!" Meanwhile, a stick-figure-like creature with fork, spoon and knife for its multiple arms tells him, "DUDE... you need to SLOW DOWN at lunch!"

The idea of someone creating a new doodle just for fun every single day for two decades left many people on Reddit in awe. u/Rocket_less said, "Every day! For 20 years?! You have 7,300 drawings?! Dude, she's basically a comic strip artist now." u/DisconcerteDinOC commented, "Wow. Those are more than doodles. Those are great illustrations. Is she a cartoonist? Very talented."  u/FollowMe2NewForest shared a relatable experience. "I don't know...maybe OP's wife does this professionally and can crank it out? I knew a lot of art students in college. There was one girl who blew everyone else out of the water—she could produce these amazing toon sketches faster than you'd think possible. It was literally a party trick for her. She was hired right out of college by a very prominent animation studio."

u/Darth-ohzz wrote, "You could probably publish these to be used as napkin decor." u/edit_R added, "This would be a fun book that you could tear out the notes and place in a kid/spouse/loved one’s lunch." u/Salt-Benefit7944 chimed in, "Her art is wonderful! It has such a whimsical style. She could absolutely turn this into a coffee table book or something if she has any inclination!" The support for turning these illustrations into a book kept growing. u/Notbadconsidering suggested, "Publish these. They would make a lovely fun book that people could tear out a page and put them into lunch for their partners and children. People like me who wish they had her kind of talent... But sadly don’t." u/davidwhatshisname52 said, "Brother, you are, without question, living the best life possible. Best wishes to both of you; stay happy!"
