A woman named Jackie Li, who goes by @jackieliii on Instagram, shared how her husband did something similar to win her heart. In her post dated October 3, 2026, she recalled meeting him on Hinge just two weeks before she embarked on a 2–month trip to Asia. They hung out as much as they could for two weeks, but the woman feared their new beginning might take a toll due to the long distance. To her surprise, he took her worry away with a heartfelt gesture.
The woman realized she really liked the guy after interacting, and so they met as much as they could before her big trip. Li then shared that she worried about what would happen to their relationship because she wouldn’t be able to see him for two months. Hoping for the best, she went on her journey. When she met her best friend in Japan, she received handwritten love letters and printed photos of her and the guy that he had planned and hand-delivered. Turns out, he wanted to find a nice way to keep in touch, went to her Instagram, found her best friend’s ID, and made arrangements to send the letter to her. Li was touched by his gesture. She mentioned that the letter was handwritten on A4-sized paper and it was filled with heartwarming stuff. However, it wasn’t just what he wrote or what he had given, but the fact that he thought and planned so meticulously just for her.
The woman revealed that this nature of his is something she fell in love with, and now she proudly calls him her husband. She honestly told the man and even asked if they could reschedule.
He was understanding about it, but asked if he could drop a gift he had brought her off at her place. She reluctantly agreed. After receiving the address, he showed up at her doorstep, dropped off the gift, and as promised, didn’t bother her further. When she went to check what he had brought, she was stunned. The man got her some chocolates and also brought her daughter a Rapunzel school bag. The gift was particularly thoughtful because the mom had only casually mentioned that Rapunzel was her daughter’s favourite princess during a brief conversation. He remembered the detail and took special interest in picking something for the little one too. Needless to say, the woman was impressed.
