Planning and going on dates may require some compromise and effort from both sides. However, when one person repeatedly has to shoulder most of the burden, it can get frustrating. A TikTok user who goes by @snizzbbzz shared a post on July 6, 2026, about how her date ended long before it could even begin. The man offered to cook her dinner at his place, and she agreed to make the long commute of over two hours. His one request and the response that followed made her cancel.

The woman explained that since the man was making the effort to cook, she was okay with taking two buses and walking for one hour and 50 minutes to get to his place. After the date was confirmed, the man asked if she could pick up some ingredients. Assuming it would only be a few things, she agreed. However, he went on to send her a list that included chicken, cream, and other core ingredients for the meal. While he offered to reimburse her for it, she wasn’t willing to carry all those items during the long journey. When she told him it would be difficult, he dismissed her concern and told her it was only a 30- to 40-minute walk if she came through the “fields.”
As the conversation went on, the man made it seem as though she was being unreasonable and refused to compromise. Eventually, she told him she didn’t like his attitude or how rude he was being to her, and that she didn’t want to make such a long commute only to be treated that way. He never responded after that. While she acknowledged it was okay to ask someone to get a few things, assuming the guest would bring all the ingredients felt slightly weird. To top it off, her reluctance came from practical concerns. The area was rural, and it was a very hot day, increasing the risk of the food spoiling in the heat. Yet, her date was not concerned about any of those factors and only focused on her refusal.
There is certain etiquette to follow when planning a date or inviting someone to your home. The man seemed to ignore both for unknown reasons. But a lack of basic courtesy can quickly become a dealbreaker. In another instance, a woman named Angi went out with a man for drinks. Later that night, at around 2.45 a.m., he texted her, requesting that she pay him $24.11 that he had covered for her.
Explaining himself, he told her that after seeing her bikini pictures on her profile, he assumed she would sleep with him after their hangout. However, that didn’t happen, and so he expected reimbursement since the night didn’t go as expected. The woman was left baffled, but he insisted she was in the wrong for having led him on with her profile. His behavior marked the end of their connection instantly.
