Woman at bus stop was suddenly brutally attacked by a 36-year-old man—nearby teen's quick defence saved her life

Sometimes, the concept of 'right place, right time' works out most unexpectedly. An incident from southern Silesia province revealed how a teenager happened to be near the bus stop in Rybnik when a 36-year-old man attacked a woman waiting for her bus, reported TVP World. The teenager noticed the violent man continuously attacking the woman and rushed to her rescue. His immediate and smart response saved the woman and gave her a chance to escape. He is being applauded for his brave and thoughtful action. “A 36-year-old attacked without reason a woman waiting at a bus stop,” read the police statement.

The man approached the woman, hit her in the “vicinity of her head,” and proceeded to punch her multiple times. No one seemed to intervene until the teenager nearby rushed to the woman’s aid. “The only person to react was a young man who ran up and pulled the attacker off, giving the woman a chance to escape,” the statement revealed. Unfortunately, while he was trying to defend the woman, he was also attacked by the assailant. The police soon arrived on the scene. The entire situation was caught on camera and was carefully reviewed by the authorities. They had a chance to identify the attacker and apprehend him. They are reportedly treating the case as one of assault.

The teenager simply helped the woman and left before the police could even arrive. Since he had been attacked and left abruptly, the officers decided to look out for him. The local prosecutor's office spotted the man wearing a unique Hello Kitty T-shirt in the footage and circulated the picture in hopes of identifying the man. They shared that they wanted to ensure the man was not injured after the attack.

It was confirmed that he was safe. The authorities are grateful for the man’s astute response that prevented further problems and danger for the woman and other citizens. Moreover, they are advocating the need for civilians to respond to situations if they see something. In a similar report of being at the right place at the right time, a Navy veteran, Kendrick Taylor, is being applauded for saving a woman while he was heading to the gym, per WESH News.

A 76-year-old woman, Rosemary Carelton, was being attacked and when the man noticed, he rushed to help without a second thought. "What if that was my grandmother? She was screaming for help. That's when I went over to help her,” he recalled. The attacker reportedly pushed the woman down on the ground and the veteran immediately knew what to do. The video captured the scenario and how the man held him down until the police arrived. "When I finally got my hands on him... I told some local people to call the police, and they got here and I kept him down," Taylor said. The community is grateful for such good Samaritans who come through when it’s needed the most.
