People have different ways of processing grief. Some continue to find connections or links with the loved ones they have lost. A woman, @poursummoemami on TikTok, was missing her late dad terribly but soon was left stunned when she discovered a surprising connection between him and her fiance, Austin. She posted a couple of photos of herself, her fiance and her dad in a slideshow. In the first slide, the woman expressed her sadness over the fact that her dad never got the chance to meet her partner. She believed that her dad would have loved her partner. The first slide included some of her black-and-white childhood pictures, which were snapped with her dad.

The second slide had a picture of the woman and her fiance, who was kissing her on the forehead. "He proposed in the same park where me and my dad frequented," the overlay text on the slide read as she showed her engagement ring. "My fiance did not know this. I had a full-on breakdown after getting engaged because my fiance and I couldn't share the moment with my dad." In the third picture, she showed her audience a rose tattoo on her forearm which she got back in 2018 to honor her dad.

"Our thing was red roses. We had planted red rose bushes together. For any big life event, my dad had bought me a dozen red roses," the overlay text mentioned. The newly engaged couple also experienced a surreal moment at the park right after they got engaged. A random fellow walked up to them, holding a bunch of white roses that had a single white rose in the center. He handed over the rose to the couple, told the woman that it was for her and then walked away. The woman felt as if her dad was watching over her from above.

The woman made another stunning discovery after coming across a throwback photo. She found an old photograph of six little boys from a preschool field trip. Upon closer inspection, she realized that her brother and her fiance attended the same preschool. The photograph was taken by the dad. It indicated that the father did get a chance to meet his daughter's partner, even though it was when the two did not know each other.  That was "the most special" thing for the lady. The comments section gushed over the lovely couple and gave them blessings for their marital life ahead.

@vampitup commented, "This is like that girl whose mother passed and didn’t get to meet her boyfriend but she was his kindergarten teacher." @yaninavalova shared, "When my friend’s dad passed away, we attended the funeral. Her mom, my friend and her sister tossed two roses and a sunflower in his opened tomb since those were the flowers he used to gift them. The crazy thing is that the sunflower landed on his heart and the two roses in his hands." @piercedmiss quipped, "I can’t imagine the validation that gave you. Wishing you and Austin a lifetime of happiness, love and comfort." @boltinsound added, "This made me sob. I lost my dad last year. I wish I had seen more signals and special moments. I’ve been sad and trying to get by each day."
