Every girl feels proud to flaunt her physique when the hard work at the gym starts paying off. This was exactly the case for Kylie Hill, a content creator who goes by @cordially.kylie. She recently described an encounter with a group of women at a grocery store who stared at her abs before they made a remark that left her stunned. On September 1, 2026, Hill shared a video on Instagram recounting this experience. As it was a quick stop, she chose a casual outfit to finish the errand. Sharing details of what she was wearing, she revealed that she had a tied-up shirt on that showed her abs.

Hill mentioned that it slipped her mind that when she visited a grocery store in the middle of the day, she would encounter people between the ages of 60 and 80. While grabbing an apple pie, a group of three older women in their 70s looked her up and down, and then approached her. Hill assumed she was in trouble, expecting the elderly women to make a rude comment about her style and her decision to show off her abs. To her surprise, one of the women complimented Kylie, saying, "Girl, you better work." The content creator was taken aback by the positive feedback.

The women spoke to each other and said they would dress just like Hill if they had a fit physique like hers. Hill described how cheerful the women were and how their kindness instantly made her feel joyful. She even expressed her joy in the caption of the video and wrote, "One thing about me is I love a grandma." Not only was Hill surprised, but so were the viewers who reacted to the older women's comments at the grocery store.

@crazy_animelover_05 remarked, "They were so sweet to you, aww." @_dylan_boni_ wrote, "Compliments from grandmas are the best. They have you smiling and giggling for the rest of the day when they give you a compliment." @brisa_fife mentioned, "I love old people; they are so sweet." The incident highlights why we should not judge people based solely on their age, gender, or any other differentiating factors.

Without context, even a simple facial expression can be misunderstood. In another story, two young women misinterpreted an older woman's expression when they openly carried tampons to the restroom. While waiting in line to change the tampons, the young women noticed the older woman giving them a disapproving look, which made them assume she was uncomfortable seeing a tampon.

When the young woman confronted her, asking if she was really embarrassed by a feminine hygiene product, the older woman's expression changed instantly. She further clarified that she wasn't uneasy; rather, she was impressed and explained how her generation was often encouraged to keep such matters private. This simple exchange instilled an empowering confidence in everyone in the restroom.
