Actor was visiting Los Angeles for film festival—had no idea he would turn into a real-life hero for locals
People usually have no idea what the next moment might bring about for them. In a similar situation, an actor who had come to LA for a film festival hadn't expected that he would end up saving a local man's life. The actor from Kazakhstan, Sanurzhan Suleimen, noticed that a man was stuck under a truck after a crash. He quickly rushed in to help him out of the situation before the vehicle exploded and became a hero in the eyes of the locals, per KTLA 5.
The actor also put his own life in danger to get the man out of the truck before it burned. "I just felt that I had to do it and there was no fear at that moment," Suleimen recounted. The man had traveled all the way from Kazakhstan to meet his friends and to attend a film festival at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The actor was out when he heard the sound of a crash and went in the direction of the sound to see what had happened. "I went to check what happened and saw a pickup truck that had gotten off the road and was about to explode," the actor went on. He saw a man under the truck and screamed for help, but no one heard him. Suleimen also knew that he didn't have much time as the truck was about to explode at any moment. He could clearly hear the popping noises.
"I went down to help him and the vehicle began to catch fire." He added, "Popping sounds and small explosions were coming from the engine area." The victim was unresponsive the first time Suleimen spotted him under the truck. But because of the intense heat from the fire, the man was regaining his senses slowly and gradually. "I managed to pull the man away from the vehicle and up the slope. I just talked to him. I just said that, 'You are doing well. Look at you, you are alive.'" Soon enough, passersby came to help the actor and moved the victim up the road with him. After that, first responders checked on the victim to make sure that he was doing okay.
The actor was grateful that he could help the man out of the harrowing situation. "Thank god that we had the opportunity to save his life." People praised the actor for his bravery in the comments section of the YouTube video. @creativebea wrote, "Amazing! What he did from beginning to end was so heroic. And that took strength, dragging him up that hill. Look at him staying there with the guy. I feel like such a combination of wholesome and brave people like him are so rare in the USA. They are definitely doing something right in Kazakhstan. He does his homeland and parents proud. Thanks, man! Enjoy your visit!"
@dfelixrx7 commented, "He's a hero! While many would likely just have recorded the moment, taken selfies, or gone live on social media, he stands out as a hero both on and off the screen." @zuleikaortiz961 remarked, "God has a purpose for everything. Thank god he was passing through the right path at the right time. God bless you." @SwampedInRevelation shared, "God bless him. Hope there wasn’t a dog in the truck. Glad they’re both ok due to that wonderful young man’s quick heroic actions." @lovelivelaughforever8781 expressed, "He’s a hero! Most people would probably just record what’s going on and not take action."
