Every interaction can have a special element if we only take that one extra step. A little thoughtfulness can transform a conversation or encounter in an unforgettable way. A woman named Autumn Meadows, who goes by u/aulei on Reddit, shared how a simple interaction with a Walmart delivery driver turned into a mesmerizing one, per Newsweek. While awaiting her order, the driver happened to text the woman. She was stunned at the lengthy message. The entire conversation pushed her to leave a “stellar review” and the message proves exactly why the man is deserving of it.

The woman mentioned how she was having a rough day until she chanced upon her Walmart driver’s text. “I was in a chronic pain flare and seeing my driver's message pop-up reminded me that even the toughest days hold beauty,” she remarked. As she waited for her delivery, she received a message from the driver. It seemed to be a lengthy one and while one would fear it was a cancellation or some unfortunate alteration to the order or delivery, it was actually something adorable instead. The man wanted to update the woman about her order, but did so in a remarkable way. He got creative and decided to write her a poem

"The shoppers have finished their shopping and they've bagged up the load. Now that they've brought it to my car, I can finally hit the road. I'm on the way now to deliver your goods, just a drive across the river, and then through the woods,” the text read. The poem continued to offer excellent service with the driver asking her delivery preferences. “A question I have, if you're willing to tell: Shall I drop off in silence, or do you prefer that I ring the bell? I'll be driving there quickly, so you won't have to wait. After receiving your order, a kind review would be great,” he skilfully wrote.

While most of us would love to receive a poem, for Meadows, it was an additionally enchanting experience. As an author herself, she was particularly thrilled to receive the message. The woman self-published “When My Heart Speaks,” a poetry book and knew well how captivating words and rhythm can be. Since the effort touched her heart, she decided to respond with a poem too. “As a poet myself, your text made me smile. I really appreciate you going the extra mile. A silent delivery would be great and I'd be more than happy to give you a 5-star rate. Enjoy your night, I hope your evening is full of delight,” she wrote.

“I’ve placed your goods by your door safe and sound. Choose to have a good day, good things are always around,” the driver responded. The delivery was complete but along with it, the driver also turned a day around in an unforgettable way. “When I saw the initial poem, my stormy day was instantly greeted with a rainbow," the woman remarked. Others, too, felt the kindness infectiously. u/winter_kip said, “‘Choose to have a good day, good things are always around.’ I’ve pocketed that line to remind myself once in a while.” u/Gumbercules81 added, “This is an awesome interaction.”
